The Next Chapter
In 2022, One Church begins the journey of redeveloping the One Centre
We had such a good time together on Vision Sunday as we were all invited to play our part in what God is doing.
If you would still like to give, there is still time. We are asking everybody to fill in a 'Giving Card'. You can fill in a card in person, or fill in a 'virtual' Giving Card online.
If you need help with anything to do with the Vision Offering, email the finance team today - Sarah.email@example.com
Physical buildings are never the goal of a local church - they simply serve a church’s people, mission and heart.
One Church uses many different buildings in Leicester and they all play a vital part in our vision, but the One Centre (10 Frog Island) is unique in its importance for us both now and into the future.
The One Centre will become the centre of all our administration as a church - a spacious place allowing for collaboration, efficiency and growth. This is about outworking all that God wants us to do in the years ahead.
The One Centre will become the venue for many of our midweek ministries; a place for children, families, youth, students, young adults, 65+ and much more. This is about all generations.
It will also become a training and releasing centre, where many gather to then go. Running courses and groups, a place of encounter and equipping, planting other sites and preparing people for influencing the world. This is about living as Spirit-filled-disciples and then going and making disciples.
The One Centre will become a Community Hub for the local area, with ministries that connect with local people, love them where they are and introduce them to Jesus and His love. This will include a 6 Degrees Coffee House. This is about reaching the lost and changing the world.
The One Centre will become a 'barn' for the blessing of the wider Church, where others can gather and events can take place. This is about practicing unity.
It will also become a building for the blessing of the City and County. That may be outworked through acts of kindness, conferencing and the hosting of events, and times of prayer for Leicestershire. This is about blessing our city.
The development of the One Centre is for the future, the many who will find Jesus and generations to come. This Centre will reflect the life and vibrancy of Jesus.
