In the front cover of my current Bible it has the date Sept 2020 and as I put it on the shelf and replace it with a new Bible today I pause and say thank you. I have read it over the last 21 months and it contains the scribblings of hundreds of quiet times and moments with Jesus as the Holy Spirit has caused the words on the page to come alive in my heart. It has been with me every morning as I have sat down, opened my heart and asked the Father to speak to me. Familiar stories have opened up in a fresh way, devotional passages have healed my heart and it has been a constant reminder to me that I am loved.
It has been the most important thing I have read every day and has formed the basis of what I am doing with my life. It is His love letter to me. It is precious beyond measure.
Reading the Bible is so important in life. It grounds you in the truth, it reminds you that you are loved, and it brings instruction and guidance for your life.
It is the most inspiring book you will ever read - can I urge you to read it regularly and your life will change.
Today - 14th June 2022 - my new Bible will arrive and I will write the date in and begin to read. And the endless possibilities of His word will continue…
